To the person suffering...

I wrote a post a few weeks ago sharing that I am currently in the process of writing my third book. Ironically,  the chapter that I'm working on right now, God is actually taking me through as I write it. I am literally living out the chapter as we speak. Talk about being  a "living witness". ๐Ÿ˜… It's strange and sometimes often times hard, but I know that the end result will be well worth it.

As much as I don't want to have or be a testimony when I know that it comes with pain and suffering, I also know that my perseverance and obedience is what's going to bring someone else out of their own pain one day. And simply knowing that lessens the sting of suffering just a little. (cause let's be real...it still stings)

This is my exact reaction every time God takes me through something ya'll! Lol

What are you going through right now? What giant are you facing that just seems too big for you to handle? What situation is it that seems like it will never go away? Whatever it is, know this:

1. You are not alone.
I know it may feel like it. I know it may even look like it. But God is there with you every step of the way. He sees you. He knows you by name. He knows all about your situation. In fact, He knew about it long before it even happened. Those feelings you think are too shameful for you to express out loud, He knows all about them too. And guess what? He still loves you anyway. He still cares. Talk to Him. Express your hurt and pain. Let it all out. Tell Him how you really feel. He's never once left your side and He never will. Ever. People may come and go, but God is constant. Never changing. Rest in that fact and trust that whether you feel Him or not, He's still there. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

2. It's not just for you, it's for someone else too.
That thing you've been wrestling with. That pain that just won't go away. That situation that seems like it will never change. That burden that has you asking "why me?"... It's not only for you. God is allowing you to go through it so that you can bring someone else out on the other side of it as well. Someone somewhere is waiting on you to bring their healing through your obedience. Generations even are waiting on your testimony, your story, your restoration, your healing, and your deliverance. So press through the pain. Don't give up. Don't give in. Count it all joy and allow the experience to be the fuel that propels you forward into your purpose. Allow your testimony to be someone else's sign of hope, to know that if God did it for you He can do it for them as well. I know you may not like it and it won't always feel good, but even when it doesn't, it's still working for your good. (Romans 8:28)

3. It won't last always.
Just like seasons come and go, the pain won't last always. The God that causes dead trees to become alive again is the same God that can breathe life into your situation. The God that brings sunshine after the rain is the same God that can turn your mourning into gladness. The God that cares about the flowers in the field and the birds of the air is the same God that cares about every little thing concerning you. It may look dead. It may look dark. It may look bleak. But all it takes is one move from God (just ONE) to turn that thing around. I know sometimes it feels like the rain won't let up and it's just one thing after another, but that won't be forever. The sun will shine again. Your smile will return. Peace will find you. And that situation that seems so big right now will pale in comparison to the abundant joy waiting for you on the other side.

So keep praying, keep fighting, keep pressing, keep reaching, keep seeking, keep growing, keep evolving, keep experiencing, keep enduring, keep trusting, keep being obedient and keep your head held high. Because the pain you've been feeling now can't even begin to compare to the joy that's coming! ๐Ÿ™Œ (Romans 8:18)
